About
15 years in furniture.
$45M+ sold.

What 15 years teaches you.
I’ve spent more than 15 years in the furniture business and sold over $45 million in furniture. Along the way I’ve learned what sells, what doesn’t, where margins disappear, and where the opportunities are hiding.
Most of that time was spent on the hard version of the business — full assortments, big showrooms, delivery logistics, and the constant work of keeping hundreds of products moving.
One of the biggest opportunities I found was sitting around the table the entire time: chairs.
A category everyone already sells, almost nobody focuses on, and where sourcing is genuinely inefficient for smaller buyers. That’s the whole idea behind Frank the Chair Guy — for people building something new, and for the stores already in the business who just want a better buy.

Global — Sourcing & Import Experience
The background
Where the experience comes from.
Retail
Time on the floor and behind it — what customers pick up, what they walk past, and what they actually pay for.
Sourcing & Importing
Finding product at the source and getting it here: factories, freight, duties, customs and everything in between.
Product Selection
Choosing what to carry. The difference between a chair that photographs well and a chair that sells.
Pricing & Negotiation
What a product should cost, what it should sell for, and how to hold the line in between.
Margins
Where money quietly disappears in a furniture business — freight, damage, discounting, slow inventory.
Merchandising
How a small assortment can look like a full program if it's put together properly.
